Program beneficiaries (Target group): Students currently pursuing Second Year, Third Year Under Graduation and First Year, Second Year Post Graduation in subjects such as Bioanalytical Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Botany, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Life Sciences, Microbiology, Nutraceuticals and Zoology. Number of participants: 70 (Participants will be selected based on their statement of purpose and justification for attending this workshop. Preference will be given to students currently enrolled in TYBSc and MSc part I depending upon the number of registrations. Background: In the context of the National Education Policy (NEP), students pursuing undergraduation and postgraduation are required to study research methodology as one of the paper/​course whereby, it would require students to understand basic concepts in research, enhance their research skills and learn to adapt to research culture.

Objectives: The purpose and rationale of this workshop is to inculcate research aptitude and develop research skills amongst students. The objective of this workshop is also to encourage students towards an interdisciplinary approach between different disciplines in pure and applied sciences. Moreover, the concepts learned in this workshop would also help these students in the execution of the Research Project/​Dissertation during the final year of undergraduation or postgraduation.
