Applications are invited for the Project Associate‑I at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune.

The incumbent would have to

• Write programs for the interactions of biomolecules at the level of network dynamics for Mycobacterium tuberculosis
• Present results to the team and at a wider network level and work towards bringing it to some form of public dissemination
• Interacting with other researchers in the network structural biology, implementing algorithms, setting up and maintaining databases and web servers
• Small component of systems administration

Initially for a period of one year extendable for further period subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and continuation of the project.

• Rs.31,000/- + 24% House Rent Allowance with valid CSIR-NET GATE / DBT — JRF/ any other National Level Test conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies OR equivalent scorecard.

M.Sc. / BS-MS / B.E. / B.Tech. / M.C.A. in Bioinformatics/​Biotechnology / Systems Biology / Computational Biology / Bioengineering / Biophysics / Mathematical Biology with a minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade.

Preference: Candidates with programming skills in Python / MATLAB and experience of modelling signalling networks, cellular biophysics. Candidate must have taken a course in quantitative biology / biomathematics. Those awarded national research fellowship (CSIR-JRF/SRF, DBT-JRF/SRF, BINC, UGC-JRF or equivalent) and having published a primary research paper in a peer reviewed international journal will be preferred.
