The Center for Advanced Neurological Research is a unique research centre lead by a clinician researcher- Professor Lekha Pandit a NASI (Neuroimmunolgy) and Fulbright Nehru fellow (Academic and Professional excellence). She runs a translational research facility focussed on her clinical interest in autoimmune central nervous system disorders. She has patented two diagnostic live cell based assays for antibody mediated CNS demyelinating disorders targeting aquaporin‑4 IgG and Myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody (MOG-IgG). Her current research focusses on molecular biomarkers, microbial influences on CNS demyelinating disorders and animal models of disease. There is opportunity to improve research abilities and also be part of international collaborative studies.

NITTE (Deemed-to-be University), established in 2008 in Mangalore, is recognized for its quality education and commitment to social values as envisioned by its Founder, late Justice KS Hegde. Call for Faculty Recruitment for the position of Research Assistant at the Center for Advanced Neurological Research, KS Hegde Medical Academy, a constituent college of NITTE (Deemed-to-be University), Mangalore, Karnataka.

Candidates should be familiar with basic microbiology and molecular techniques and be committed to do team work in a clinician-researcher’s lab, within a university hospital setting. Persons aspiring to do a PhD are preferred and priority would be given for local candidates.
